Should ice mage still learn T.Spear

i have a lvl 1xx mage and was wondering if i should learn thunder spear still.Since lightning chain in 4th job is 180Ma and way faster than spear.
What do you think?

Are you planning to get to level 120?
Most Ice/Lightning never make it, yet they plan not to get Thunder Spear.
Forget Thunder Spear if you know for sure you're going to get to level 120, but otherwise get it.

i would get it even though theres the 4th job one.. but there isnt going to be 4th job in awhile right? so why not just get it so you can train faster

I think this belongs in the mage hunting ground area

but if you plan to get to 120 and make the 4th job when it comes out, no.
if not, go ahead :D

the 4th job is still atleast 1.5 years down the road.. do you wanna live 1.5 years without a strong attack for your mage? didnt think so
get tspear.. besides even if you didnt get tspear, you cannot use your 3rd job points for 4th job skills.. that is to say even if you skipped spear, got to lvl 120 .. and tried to add 30 points for chain light, it wouldnt work.

There are other mage skills you have to skip if you get tspear. He wouldn't have extra skills.

And we're supposedly getting 4th job for christmas.

This isn't a good comparrison as skills begin to differ at higher levels, but it why would you drop it because of a 4th job skill? Are you certain you will reach it? My point is, dropping TS for CL is like dropping Mclaw because you'll get Cold beam. However, since you don't NEED Spear like Claw, you're allowed a bit more freedom. I just think it's a bit silly, though.

i doubt 4th job will be out by christmas . and as for thunder spear get it if you dont have anything else you wanna get.
